Shipyard
Atlantis boats are built using state-of-the-art technologies by a specialist workforce that adopts strict, repeatable, controlled procedures.
The main technological advantages at the Atlantis shipyard include:
- The gelcoat is applied completely automatically by robot
- Vacuum laminating process (infusion)
- Structural architecture incorporated in modules (ISS)
- Boats prepared on automotive-standard assembly lines
How many others can boast a list like this?
Gelcoat
Automated gelcoating by robot ensures uniform diffusion of the gelcoat.
Infusion
The core infusion technique was perfected following two years of experimenting and many hours of testing at our research and development facility, and is currently used to construct all Atlantis hulls
Core infusion
Infusion technology makes it possible to produce fibreglass composites with the best ratio between the weight and the mechanical characteristics of the product.
The entire process is performed in a vacuum, which allows the resin to be distributed more uniformly and reduces emissions into the atmosphere by 90%.
The system therefore guarantees a better working environment and superior product quality: the boats are stronger and have greater structural rigidity.
ISS
ISS - Integrated Structural System - guarantees greater structural resistance while also optimising the weight of the hull.
Assembly lines
The boats are prepared on an automotive-standard assembly line that is organised in stages, in order to achieve maximum workforce specialisation and strict control over working times.
Controlled procedures
Quality checks are performed at every single stage right up to final testing, which involves a test in the tank to try out engines and systems; the whole boat also undergoes a watertight test lasting more than twelve hours to exclude any possibility of leaks.
